Two timely goals and some outstanding goaltending allowed the Dryden Eagles Girls High School Hockey team to escape Keewatin with a 2-1 win over the St.Thomas Aquinas Saints Tuesday night.
Down 1-0, Maddie MacDonald scored late in the second period to tie the contest for the Eagles.
Leah Balla scored the winning goal early in the third on a powerplay.
The story of the game was goaltender Hannah Zilklans, who kept the Eagles in the game, finishing with 38 saves.
Dryden recorded 25 shots on net.
The Eagles are now 3-0 and they will take on the Muskies in Fort Frances on Thursday.
The Muskies defeated Beaver Brae Tuesday night.
