Two timely goals and some outstanding goaltending allowed the Dryden Eagles Girls High School Hockey team to escape Keewatin with a 2-1 win over the St.Thomas Aquinas Saints Tuesday night.

Down 1-0, Maddie MacDonald scored late in the second period to tie the contest for the Eagles.

Leah Balla scored the winning goal early in the third on a powerplay.

The Eagles are now 3-0 and they will take on the Muskies in Fort Frances on Thursday.

The Muskies defeated Beaver Brae Tuesday night.
