DHS Grad Moving To Dryden Memorial Arena

A change of scenery for the Dryden High School Graduation ceremony.

Master of Ceremonies Cindy Palermo and Graduation Committee member Paige Ponton were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Wednesday to talk about the event.

Palermo says next Friday’s grad is being held at the Memorial Arena, with some 125 students expected to walk across the stage.

Palermo says they have allotted seven floor seats for each graduating students and those tickets are now available.

Anyone can show up without a ticket and sit in the stands.

She notes they have hired photographer Samantha Hawkins to capture the entire moment and pictures will be available following grad.

There will be a parade following grad from the Arena to DHS for the cap toss ceremony.

Ponton says the entire process has been student lead.

She says they have been able to dictate what is going to happen at the ceremony, with input coming in from students on what they want to see at grad.
