The Eagles fell to Queen Elizabeth High School in Sioux Lookout to place second in their season opener tournament.
Round robin play showed a strong squad that developed over the course of the tournament, highlighted by a strong semi-final match against St. Thomas Aquinas from Kenora.
Offense was led by Megan Johnson setting Alana Benson and Elisa Mawby with strong defensive performances by Chelsea Martel, Jessica Lei and Christina Medwid.
