Dickenson Road Evacuation

A number of homes in Balmertown were evacuated for nearly 2-hours Sunday evening for a suspected gas leak.
Several people on Dickenson Road reported a strong odour of gasoline coming from basement drains.
One resident advised OPP that they had incorrectly
mixed fuel and then poured the substance down a storm drain.
Fire crews flushed the storm and basement drains and the investigation is on-going.
