Director Of Education Addresses Teacher Action

As of Monday, elementary teachers with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board will not participate in extra-curricular activities.
The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario has said that they will give parents 72 hours notice prior to a full strike.
Director of Education Jack McMaster says that schools will manage as best they can.
He says that they are focused on keeping classroom instruction as close to normal, and that student safety is also their focus.
McMaster says he has spoken with local presidents of the unions and is confident that they also feel that student learning and safety is the main priority.
