The Northwest Catholic District School Board will be saying goodbye to its Director of Education.
Mary-Catherine Kelly has announced that she will retire effective August 30 this year.
Kelly says her past seven years as Director of Education has been an amazing experience, and believes that the school board will be in good hands.
There’s no word yet on a replacement, but the board has decided they will use a head hunter service so that staff do not have to get involved in figuring out who the replacement will be.
Kelly says a need to be closer to her aging parent in southern Ontario also played a role in her decision.
