Three Windigo First Nation women were rescued by the OPP
this weekend after their vehicle ran out of gas.
OPP were out on regular patrol of the ice road when they
located the distressed motorists.
The three girls were heading to Kenora, when they ran
out of gas near Matheson Bay.
The three occupants were transported to Rat Portage, no
one was injured.
Police are urging motorists to take precautions and plan
ahead when travelling in extreme temperatures.
