District Moving To Orange Level

The Thunder Bay district is officially moving to the Orange or Restrict level of the province’s COVID-19 framework.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says Thunder Bay is one of the regions going “in the wrong direction.”

A number of changes will take effect Monday at 12:01 AM.

Bars and restaurants will only allow four patrons at a table, and establishments that serve alcohol have to close at 10 PM.

Alcohol can also only be served until 9 PM.

Customers at stores, bars, restaurants, hair salons, gyms and theatres must now be screened for COVID-19 symptoms.

The limits for private functions will remain at ten people indoors and 25 people outdoors, and public events are to remain at 50 indoors and 100 outdoors.
