The Dryden Ice Dogs couldn’t maintain their momentum, losing to the Wisconsin Wilderness 6-1 Wednesday night in Spooner.
The Wilderness exploded for 4-goals in the second period, after a scoreless opening frame.
Ben McLellan would break the shutout 8 minutes into the third.
Brett Timmerman made 31-saves in the loss.
The rematch will be Friday night at the Dryden Memorial Arena starting at 7:30.
In other SIJHL action, the Thunder Bay North Stars outlasted the Fort Frances Lakers 5-4.
