Dominating Effort For Ice Dogs To Open Semi-Final

It was a statement game for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs to open the SIJHL playoffs.

The Ice Dogs showed no rink rust after being off for roughly two weeks and proved they are the team to beat in a dominating 7-2 win over Fort Frances in the opener of the Semi-Final.

It was a complete team effort with all four lines producing.

Ted Davis, Eric Stout, Jacen Bracko, Brendan Jay, Matthew Pitchense, Reid Manning and Evan Walls all found the back of the net.

The Ice Dogs outshot the Lakers 41-24, with Jacob Gnidziejko earning the win.

Game 2 is Saturday night in Dryden at 7:30.
