Domtar And Goldcorp 3rd Quarter Earnings

Domtar is reporting a big drop in third-quarter net earnings amid slightly lower revenue for the period.
The company says net earnings in the three months ending September 30th fell to $66-million or $1.84 per share.
That’s down from net earnings of $117-million or $2.95 per share.
Sales revenue fell to just under $1.4-billion from slightly above that figure in the same year-earlier period.
Meantime, Goldcorp says it earned $498-million or 61-cents per diluted share for its latest quarter, up from $336-million or 41-cents per diluted share a year ago.
Revenue totalled $1.54-billion, up from $1.31 billion.
