The Minister of Natural Resources has vowed to find a solution to Northwestern Ontario’s forest industry woes.
Donna Cansfield says she is continuing to speak with area municipalities, and forest sector companies.
The new MNR Minister met with the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association and Forest Sector Council.
Cansfield notes provincial funding for logging roads, and the
prosperity fund have had a postive impact on the region’s forest
sector.
