Doug Lawrance New Mayor In Sioux Lookout

A bit of a surprise in Sioux Lookout as Doug Lawrance defeated Dennis Leney to claim the Mayor’s seat.
Lawrance says he felt confident over the last month of the campaign.
He notes he looks forward to a meeting with the new council as well as drafting a strategic plan to move forward.
Lawrance says that will include goals and targets for the Municipality.
Lawrance is joined at the Council table by Donald Fenelon, Joyce Timpson, John Bath, Steven Forbes, Cal Southall and Yolaine Kirlew.
Kirlew is the only new face on Council.
Voter turnout was 55.95%.
