An overwhelming endorsement has been handed down by the Northwestern
Health Unit Board of Directors for Doctor Pete Sarsfield.
The Board has completed a performance review of the Medical Officer of
Health.
Chair John Albanese says Sarsfield passed with flying colours.
Albanese says the Board was most impressed with his commitment to
promoting good health and his ongoing effort to eliminate second hand smoke.
A Court hearing was called for September 26th in Toronto after the Provincial Government ordered a review of a Health Services and Appeals Board decision that stated Dr. Sarsfield overstepped his bounds in issuing a region-wide smoking ban.
