The search for a new Medical Officer of Health is over.
The Northwestern Health Unit has hired Dr. Monika Dutt to replace Dr.
Pete Sarsfield, who is retiring at the end of this year.
Dutt obtained her Doctor of Medicine from Queen’s University and has experience working in Northern Canada and Northern Ontario.
Dutt will start in an acting capacity January 1st but will officially
take over in July as she is currently finishing her final year in the
Community Residency Program at the University of Toronto.
The hiring still needs Provincial approval.
