DRHC’s Quest For The Best

A new program as a part of the Dryden Regional Health Center’s strategic plan.
“Quest for the Best 2016” was developed by the board and Chair Robert Stevens says it’s all about making the hospital a better place to visit and work.
The program features five “pillars”, each outlined with a specific goal and the date it should be accomplished.
The first focus is on people, and to promote and advance a safe environment for all with the goal being to achieve the Platinum Quality Healthcare Workplace Award by November 2015.
The second focus is on quality and safety, to be recognized as a leader in providing high quality patient-centered care. The big goal is to receive the Exemplary Standing Accreditation Award in May 2015.
Service is another main focus, with the goal being to outperform the Ontario Hospital Association small hospital average for overall patient satisfaction for both inpatient and emergency care by 2016/2017.
Internally, the hospital is working to advance and maintain affordable and sustainable health services. The goal there is to keep a balanced budget, keep annual capital spending at 600-thousand-dollars per-year and to maintain the current ratio benchmark.
Lastly, the hospital continues to advance and build a high performing, locally integrated health system with the creation of the Dryden Area Local Health Hub by 2016.
