Motorists are being reminded to slow down and use caution around school buses.
This follows a dangerous incident on Tuesday in Thunder Bay.
Provincial Police say an individual was caught doing 110 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone.
While speaking with the driver, an officer was approached by a bus driver and advised that the accused passed the school bus as it was stopped picking up kids.
The driver faces charges of stunt driving and failing to stop for a school bus.
Driving speeds of 50 km/hr or more over the posted speed limit results in:
-Mandatory 7 day licence suspension
-Mandatory 7 day vehicle impoundment
-Minimum fine $2,000 to $10,000
-6 licence demerit points.
For a first time offence for failing to stop for a bus with its red signal lights flashing, you can be fined $400 to $2,000 and have six demerit points added to your licence.
