Drug bust in Dryden leads to charges

A drug trafficking investigation in Dryden has led to charges.

Officers searched a home on Wilson Street on Wednesday.

During the search, officers seized suspected illicit drugs including cocaine, fentanyl, and prescription medication.

A suspect was also arrested.

As a result, a 36-year-old from Dryden is facing the following charges:

  • Trafficking in a Schedule I substance – fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
