Drug Charge in Kenora

A traffic stop in Kenora this morning (Thursday) resulted in drug charges for the driver of a tractor trailer. While OPP had the vehicle stopped an officer noticed the smell of marijuana. Upon searching the truck, police found half a pound of marijuana and a large amount of cash. The estimated street value is 20 thousand dollars. 51 year old Robert Steenson of BC has been charge with possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking of cannabis and possession of property obtained by crime over five thousand dollars. Steenson will appear in Kenora court today.
