Drug Seizure

A week after the head of the Tri-Force Drug Unit warned local residents that the drug commonly known as speed is becoming a problem in Sunset Country, Thunder Bay Police have made significant bust.
Officers found a dozen 50 kilogram barrels of a red chemical used to make crystal methamphetamine after stopping a cube van for a seatbelt check on the weekend.
Police say the vehicle had British Columbia plates and they believe the shipment was linked to organized crime.
Police add the street value of the drug if produced would be around $100 million.
