Drug trafficking charges laid

A 30 year old Kenora man faces drug trafficking charges.

Just before Tuesday at noon, the OPP were conducting an investigation in the area of Bernier Drive when they observed a drug deal going down.

One person was arrested and police seized a number of illegal substances including methamphetamine, hydromorphone, dilaudid as well as Canadian currency and other items associated with the drug trade.

Three charges of trafficking have been laid along with a charge of possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000.

He has been released from custody and will appear in Kenora Court at a later date.
