Dryden Council has thrown cold water on a Dryden Fire plan to switch dispatch service to the Kenora Ambulance and Fire Dispatch Centre.
The Fire Service had entered into an agreement with Oxdrift and Wabigoon to move services to Kenora once the Dryden Communications Centre closes.
Council has asked Fire Chief Ken Kurz to reach out to the Owen Sound Police detachment but Kurz says the Kenora service is the way to go.
Kurz says Owen Sound has told him that they can’t accommodate dispatch service for Dryden Fire.
