Dryden has received a fairly prestigious honor.
The City is 1 of 36 Canadian Municipalities collecting an award from the Tree Canada Foundation.
Dryden has been recognized for its work in undertaking tree inventories, planting and public education.
The honor comes with a $15,000 grant.
The ‘Green Streets Program’ is the Country’s largest Municipal Urban Forestry program.
Its purpose is to improve urban forests, help people understand how trees help the environment and improve the overall quality of life.
