Dryden Bass Tournament A Couple Of Days Away

Local anglers will hit the water Sunday, August 22 for the Annual Dryden Bass Tournament.

It’s a 100% cash payout event with prizes in a number of specialty categories.

Organizer Jay Samsal says the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes is a hidden gem.

“A lot of people I don’t know if they realize how big of bass come out of Wabigoon Lake. Some of the bigger bags and bigger bass that I’ve personally ever caught from out of Wabigoon and it doesn’t get talked about a whole lot. Looking forward to seeing what is brought in this weekend.”

The one-day event runs from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and for the first time there will be no live bait.

Samsal says registrations are still being accepted.

“We get lot’s of families involved in this one. Father-son, father-daughter. It always seems to bring families out to compete in this event. As well as some other more traditional bass fishermen or guys that compete on a regular basis.”

Samsal notes spots are filling up fast and to register visit Dingwall Ford.
