Dryden Boys Reach Bronze Medal Game

The Dryden Eagle’s boys defeated the Stonewall Rams 7-1 in the bronze medal game of 24 team Victoria Inn High School hockey tournament over the weekend. Drew Walske netted 2 goals with singles from Tyler Boon, Joel Zieroth, Tyler Kirouac, Kirk Markowski and Ryan Hron. Brady Desserre picked up the win in net. Dryden started the tournament with a tough 3-2 shootout loss to the Virden Golden Bears, but then battled back to defeat Westwood Warriors 3-0 and St. John’s Ravencourt Eagles 3-1 in the A side quarter final. After reaching the final four, the Eagles lost in semi-final play 2-1 in overtime to the eventual tournament champions from Oak Park to reach the bronze medal game.
