The City of Dryden will take a close look at providing funding for a
CT Scan Unit at the Hospital.
The Dryden Regional Health Services Foundation approached Council
Monday asking for a $50,000 to $100,000 commitment.
Mayor Anne Krassilowsky says Council and Staff realize the importance
of obtaining the CT Scanner but notes they have to take a close look at the finances and the local economy before making a decision.
Krassilowsky says the machine will help in recruitment efforts at the Hospital.
The Foundation is hoping to raise $3-million by early 2008, with
a goal to have the CT Unit operating in early 2009.
Councilor Brian Collins challenged his colleagues to step up to the plate and support the important initiative.
