Dryden Council Continues To Look At Service Cuts

At last night’s meeting, the first draft of the budget was discussed and one number that really stood out was a 7 percent taxation rate.
However Mayor Craig Nuttall says no one wants that, and they’re going to aim for something lower such as a cost of living increase by 2 or 3 percent.
City managers will look at where cuts can be made in services, and Nuttall adds that areas they are looking at are the Parks Board and Public Works.
The 2013 budget will be finalized in February.
