The City of Dryden will take the first step Wednesday night in finding a replacement for Mayor Craig Nuttall.
Deputy Mayor Martin MacKinnon has taken over the reigns on an interim basis.
Council will meet at 6 o’clock to discuss its options in an open meeting and will go more into depth during a closed door session after.
A recent CKDR News Poll showed 47% of respondents felt that Council should appoint the runner-up for Mayor in the last municipal election; that would be political newcomer Greg Wilson.
30% wanted a by-election, 20% believed someone from Council should be picked and 8% wanted someone from outside Council to be appointed.
