Dryden Dolphins Impressive In Hometown Pool

A number of personal best times and first times were recorded by members of the Dryden Dolphins at their SPLASH Swim Meet held over the weekend at the Rec Centre.

Ayva Anderson and Liam Howarth picked up Gold medals in their respective events.

Silvers went to Jonah Brown and Elosie Marchand.

Mya Corbett and Adam Millard took home Bronze medals.

There were more than 130 young swimmers from across the region taking part in the two day event.

The Dolphins Swim Club says Adrielle Bazinet, Jaxson Coughlin, Brenna Keen, Jinessa Kujansuu, Ryan McQuarrie, Taylor Millard and Robyn Wearne all recorded new personal best times.

First time participants included Isabella Baxter, Merek Bissig, Quinn Clark, Archor Henley, Evan Hutchison, Sean Keen, Carli Rutter and Riley Turpin.

Here are some of the highlights:

-Ayva Anderson-First Place in the 25m backstroke
-Adrielle Bazinet-Personal Best in the 25m backstroke (improved by 9 seconds)
-Jonah Brown-Second Place in the 25m freestyle
-Mya Corbett-Third Place in the 25m breaststroke
-Jaxson Coughlin-Personal Best in the 200m freestyle (improved by 12 seconds)
-Liam Howarth-First Place in the 25m freestyle
-Brenna Keen-Personal Best in the 100m freestyle (improved by 36 seconds)
-Jinessa Kujansuu-Personal Best in the 100m backstroke (improved by 11 seconds)
-Eloise Marchand-Second Place in the 25m backstroke
-Ryan McQuarrie-Personal Best in the 100m backstroke (improved by 19 seconds)
-Adam Millard-Third Place in the 100m individual medley
-Taylor Millard-Personal best in the 50m breaststroke (improved by 13 seconds)
-Robyn Wearne-Personal best in the 100 freestyle (improved by 13 seconds)
