A perfect end to a perfect season!
The Dryden Eagles High School Football team ended their assault on the record books Wednesday night with a convincing 21-0 win over the Portage Collegiate Trojans in the Championship game at Investors Group Field.
No one came close to challenging the Eagles this year as they finished 10-0, with four shutouts and outscored their opponents 427-71.
The team motto is “Leave No Doubt” and DHS did just that in the Final game.
Some big plays on offence led to three one yard touchdown runs from Liam Wrolstad (2) and Jarett Hicks (1).
Hicks was named game MVP.
On defence, Dryden only allowed two sustained drives the entire game, but shutdown the opponent twice in the red zone.
This is third Winnipeg High School Football Title for Dryden High School. (2002, 2006)
