Dryden Fall Fair Kicks Off Today

Three days of fun to end off the summer start today (Thursday August 26) at the 2021 Dryden Fall Fair.

It all kicks off at noon at the fairgrounds.

While there won’t be any midway rides, Lisa Koshel with the Dryden and District Agricultural Society says they are excited to welcome back the community and have lots of entertainment planned.

“Lots of games, we’re brining in bouncy houses, mobile laser tag and we’ve got some really great partnerships with local clubs. A newly formed group called ‘The Dog Squad’ they will be doing canine demonstrations throughout the fair. Lot’s of great exhibits, vegetables, baking, crafts, photography and all of those types of things. Also, we’ll have all our animals. Friday and Saturday we’ve got full days of horse shows and Friday the cattle show runs most of the day.”

The 4H Milkshake booth will be open along with the Corn Booth.

Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for members and children 12 and under are free.

The Cloverbelt Country Farmer’s Market will also be set up 3-6pm at the fairgrounds Thursday afternoon.

The parade starts at 6:30pm at the Dryden Recreation Complex, then heads north on Earl to King Street, east to Van Horne Avenue, south to Princess, east to Kirkpatrick and south to Duke Street.

The parade will then make it’s way to the overpass, down Highway 17 to the fairgrounds and end with the opening ceremonies at 7:30pm.

Physical distancing and masking is recommended for when six feet distance can’t be maintained.
