City of Dryden finances continues to be top in mind.
The issue is expected to resonate loud and clear as the newly elected Council meets for the first time Monday night.
Mayor Craig Nuttall says they continue to make significant headway.
Nuttall says their debt is down to 25-million dollars and they have postponed some principal payments in order to access some cash flow for grants.
He stresses Council must ensure they don’t go back into debt.
Nuttall adds things are on the up-and-up with the potential of new business.
He notes deposits have been put on a couple of properties in town and he hopes to make a formal announcement next Spring.
Potential businesses have been eyeing property behind Petro-Pass.
