Dryden Fire Responds To Four Incidents

The Dryden Fire Service responded to a number of incidents this weekend.
On Saturday evening, Dryden and Wabigoon rescue crews attended a two vehicle collision on highway 17 near the highway 72 junction with no injuries.
Acting Fire Chief Ken Kurz says on Sunday before 9am, several 911 calls came in about a vehicle fire and the beginning of a structure fire at a commercial building on Government Street.
The vehicle plug-in cord is the suspected cause of the fire, which completely destroyed the vehicle and caused damage to the buildings exterior siding.
On Sunday afternoon, emergency personnel were dispatched to Highway 17 East at the 6 mile corner in Dryden for a semi tractor trailer rollover in the ditch.
The driver was the only person in the vehicle, and was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
Later in the evening, crews returned to the scene and rescued horses, cattle and lamas that were still alive in the rolled trailer.
