Dryden Fire Service Responds To 3 Incidents

The Dryden Fire Service has been busy. Since Wednesday, volunteer firefighters have responded to three separate incidents. Early Thursday morning, crews were dispatched to a local restaurant because the smell of smoke was detected in a walk-in freezer. After a thorough search the area was declared safe. Maintenance staff are investigating the incident. Later on Thursday morning, the Dryden Fire Service were called to a Dingwall Parkway residence for a Carbon Monoxide Alarm sounding. On arrival, fire crews conducted tests and determined the CO Alarm to be defective and the residence was determined to be safe for occupants. On Wednesday, crews responded to a 3 vehicle collision at the corner of Duke St. and Whyte Ave. Crews remained on scene for approximately 45 minutes stabilizing vehicles, assisting Northwest EMS and Dryden Police services. No one was seriously injured and one drive is facing charges for failing to yield at a stop sign.
