The Dryden Fire Service is warning local residents of the dangers of improper storage of smoking materials.
This comes following a scare Thursday night at a Duke Street multi-residence complex.
Firefighters arrived to a heavy burning odour in the air.
Personnel conducted a search of the building and found a burning coffee can full of smoking materials at the rear of the four unit complex.
No major damage was reported but officials stress they have had to deal with too many close calls.
