Some changes at the Dryden Fire Service.
Acting Fire Chief Ken Kurz says they are saying good-bye to two long time members.
John Popein has retired after 33-years of service and Keith Apland is set to retire at the end of the month after 38-years on the job.
Kurz says Popein spent the last 5-years as a member of the Incident Command Team.
Apland worked as a firefighter, ambulance attendant, captain and an emergency and training command team member.
Kurz says they have served with nothing but dedication and honour.
Kurz notes the Fire Department is welcoming 11-new recruits, including Alyssa Pronger, the first female firefighter with the Fire Service in 104-years.
Kurz says the added help is badly needed as they are faced with a high number of retirements.
He notes this is first time in 3-years that they have replenished their stock.
