A News Conference has been scheduled for 1 o’clock Monday afternoon in Winnipeg to discuss the circumstances behind a December 13th raid of a Park Crescent home in Dryden.
Dryden Police Detective-Sergeant Anne Tkachyk says the arrest of 71-year-old Robert McGillivray is an extension from an RCMP investigation conducted in Brandon, Manitoba.
Tkachyk says McGillivray faces 11-firearm related charges.
Charges include; 3-counts of possession of a prohibited device, 2-counts of careless storage of a prohibited firearm, 2-counts of careless storage of a restricted firearm, careless storage of a non-restricted firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of an unregistered non-restricted firearm and possession of an unregistered restricted firearm
Officers seized long guns, handguns, switch-blade knives and high capacity magazines.
McGillivray has been released on numerous conditions and is due in Court on February 7th.
