Dryden Gearing Up for “Winter Festival”

It’s almost time to celebrate winter in the Dryden area.
The Annual “Winter Festival” is set for February 18th to 20th.
Organizer Andi Kidd addressed the Dryden Rotary Club on Wednesday and she stressed that most of the events are free.
Opening ceremonies are planned for next Saturday with the ‘Cops versus Dogs’ charity game at 7:00.
Featured events include Pimp Your Ice Shack judging, 3 on 3 Hockey Tournament, a Pancake breakfast as well as tennis and dancing lessons.
Other highlights include sleigh rides, a sledding hill, fun skate, free swimming and a family fishing derby.
The cost to put on Winter Festival is roughly $8,500 and Kidd says they have been underbudget since it started in 2010.
