Girls hockey players across the region will be able to showcase their skills in the new year.
Ed Trist is the President of the Dryden Girls Hockey Association and he says they are hosting the first ‘Brad West Memorial’ 3-3 Tournament.
He’s hoping to attract teams from across northwestern Ontario.
Trist says 3-on-3 is a faster game and is exciting for both fans and players.
The April Tournament will be a fundraiser for the Dryden Recreation Extension and Modification Committee.
Trist notes Brad West was very much involved in coaching and the hockey community and understood the need for a full functioning arena.
