The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have added some depth on the defensive end of the ice.
The team has acquired goaltender Tyler Thompson from the Virden Oil Capitals of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
Thompson is known to SIJHL fans as the starting netminder for the Minnesota Iron Rangers last season.
He faced the most shots in the league and finished with a 4.43 goals against average and an .899 save percentage.
The 19-year-old is listed at 6’0, 181-pounds and is from Victoria, Minnesota.
Dryden GM also obtained the rights to defenceman 19-year-old Tyler Browning.
The Cary, North Carolina native is making his Canadian Junior Hockey debut and is listed at 6’2, 209-pounds.
