A strong defensive effort from the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.
The Dogs jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and then cruised to a 3-1 win over Minnesota Friday night in Hoyt Lakes.
Derek McPhail, Matt Houston and Ben Smaha scored for Dryden GM, while Taylor Unruh stopped 26-shots for the victory.
The Ice Dogs managed 26-shots on net.
They will look for the sweep Saturday night at 7:00.
