Dryden High Student Receives Scholarship

A Dryden High School student has picked up one of Canada’s most
prestigious scholarships.
Pickle Lake resident Patrick Hoffman received a $4,000
Millennium Excellence award in recognition of his community involvement,
academic achievement and leadership skills.
Hoffman says in his hometown he is involved in organizing various
Canada Day activities and hosting Christmas dinners for those in need.
He will be taking a Life Sciences course at Queen’s University
this Fall and hopes to return to Northern Ontario to work as a Doctor in the
future.
