With the Dryden Regional Health Centre leading the charge, the City
is applying to the Province to become a Family Health Team Member.
The McGuinty Government plans to establish 45-Teams by the end of
March and Hospital CEO Wade Petranik says the proposal will only improve the
local health care system.
The plan is intended to bring nurses, pharmacists, nurse practitioners
and midwives into the fold to improve the access to primary care.
The proposal would assist the community in dealing with the physician
shortage with various funding benefits attached.
