The Dryden Regional Health Centre is about to embark upon an ambitious fundraising campaign to raise $1.25-million for a new CT Scan Unit.
On Monday, CKDR will be broadcasting live from the hospital and collecting pledges from 8am until noon.
Fundraising and Recruitment Coordinator Chuck Schmitt was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Thursday and he stated the current machine is approaching the end of its functional lifespan.
Schmitt says they simply can’t function without it.
He reflects back to 2008 when the hospital didn’t have Cat Scan capabilities, noting they sent more than 2,200 people out of town for treatment.
