Dryden Hospital Continues Hard Work In COVID-19 Battle

The Dryden Regional Health Centre is still working diligently to ensure COVID-19 cases are handled properly.

Dryden has been doing well in response to the virus as the 4 local positive cases have been resolved.

Chief Executive Officer Doreen Armstrong-Ross says locally and provincially people have been making the right moves.

“We’ve done a very excellent job in Ontario specifically and certainly in Dryden with our social distancing and all those measures that we put in place to flatten that curve and we have done so.”

Armstrong-Ross says “We are still doing between 8 and 12 tests a day on presumptive patients. We’ve had 2 or 3 in the hospital at any given time that we’re treating as presumptive based on clinical signs.”

Screening continues at the hospital and Armstrong-Ross has stressed that staff treat every case as presumptive if someone is showing any of the signs of the coronavirus.
