The Dryden Regional Health Centre is doing everything they can, with what they have, to prepare for Ebola.
If anyone with Ebola-like symptoms enters the hospital, they will be isolated and then transferred to the nearest designated facility in Sudbury.
Chief Executive Officer Wade Petranik says things still need to be worked out with transportation.
Petranik says it’s up to the ambulance service as well as ORNGE to deal with that aspect.
He notes the challenges include no access to vast quantities of hazmat suits but notes the province has stated they will be made available.
Petranik adds the risk of anyone having Ebola in northwestern Ontario is low.
