Dryden Hospital Working With Two Facilities For CT Scan Services

The Dryden Regional Health Centre is working with hospitals in Sioux Lookout and Kenora to accommodate CT Scan services.

Chief Executive Officer Wade Petranik says they are now firming up patient referrals to both facilities in a bid to get people the services they need as quickly as possible.

The Health Centre is cleaning up following a significant water leak in the Diagnostic Imaging department at the hospital.

The Saturday night incident caused considerable damage to the CT Scan Unit.

Petranik says they are now assessing the extent of the leak and subsequent damage.

He says they are now seeking professional advise and adds they are closely working with their insurance company.

Petranik warns it may be possible that they have to replace the CT unit sooner than anticipated.

The hospital is in the midst of an aggressive fundraising campaign for a new CT machine.
