Dryden and Kenora Mayors Reaction

Some good news but not a lot seems to be the general mood of Municipal Leaders & Forestry Industry Officials after today’s announcement of a $330 million aid package over 5 years by the Government of Ontario.
Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky says $28 million a year to maintain primary access roads probably won’t do much to reduce fibre costs & that has her concerned.
||A1…14 sx…ec…alarming for me…||

Kenora Mayor Dave Canfield says the Feds now have to come to the table & work with everyone to re-vitalize the industry.||D2…18 sx…ec…hopefully that happens…||
Both Krassilowsky & Canfield say they will be getting in touch with MP Roger Valley shortly to begin what is begin called Phase 3 of the campaign to save the forest industry across the north.
