Only 2-communities in the Region are receiving money from the
Canada-Ontario Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund.
The first allocation of $249-million was handed out Monday.
Ear Falls will see nearly $490,000 to upgrade area roads,
while Kenora will spend $666,000 to improve its Water and Sewer Plant.
Several Municipalities including Dryden will have to apply for funds
under the second phase of the project.
The City is seeking cash to upgrade the Water-Sewage Treatment Plant.
