One of the most prominent individuals in Dryden has died.
Roy Wilson passed away at the Dryden Regional Health Centre on Saturday following a brief illness.
He was 86.
With his brothers Alex and Jim, Roy Wilson helped build Alex Wilson Coldstream Limited into a nationally recognized business.
He was also the long-time architect of the Dryden Observer.
Despite being a successful businessman, it’s what Roy did in the community in his beautification and economic diversification work that stood him above others.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 2 o’clock at the Full Gospel Church.
In keeping with Roy’s desire to make Dryden a better place, his family is asking folks to plant a tree or pick up some litter in his memory.
